Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 14,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

Want to come and be a part of it?

    What will you be doing?

As Head of Marketing & Communications, you'll partner with senior leaders in our Water Division to develop and deliver a strategic marketing and communications approach that enhances reputation, strengthens client relationships, and supports business growth across the division.

With a strong focus on marketing and work-winning activity, you'll create compelling campaigns, content, and narratives that showcase the division's capabilities, differentiate M Group in the market, and support the pursuit of new opportunities. You'll work closely with leadership teams to align communications and marketing activity with business priorities, providing trusted advice and helping shape effective stakeholder engagement strategies.

You'll also support colleague engagement and employer brand initiatives, develop impactful case studies and success stories, and act as the key link between the Water division and the central Marketing & Communications team to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all channels. Working at both a strategic and operational level, you'll influence senior decision-making while helping drive growth, engagement, and reputation across the division.

    What you’ll bring:

    • Extensive experience in marketing with strong evidence of translating business priorities into effective strategies and delivering measurable business outcomes.

    • Track record of developing and delivering successful integrated approaches that support growth, business performance, reputation and engagement.

    • Significant experience partnering senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced organisations, with the credibility and judgement to advise, influence, and constructively challenge.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editorial judgement and attention to detail, combined with a willingness to get hands-on with delivery where needed.

    • Highly organised with strong prioritisation and delivery skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, make sound judgements, and maintain focus on the activity that will have the greatest impact.

    • Ability to distil complex information into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.

    • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with an understanding of how communications and marketing can support growth, reputation, employee engagement, and client outcomes.

    • Confident operating in ambiguity and change, with the ability to quickly understand complex business issues and translate them into clear communications and marketing priorities.

    • Experience using insight, audience understanding, and measurement to inform strategy and improve effectiveness
